"aura" is an AR-based emotional perception platform that helps users navigate the overwhelming effects of a new superpower: Emotion Spectrum Vision—the ability to see others’ core emotions as color-coded auras.
Built as part of Figma’s FigBuild 2025 designathon, the project was designed in 72 hours around the prompt:
“You’ve woken up with a superpower. Design a tool to manage it.”
Our team, Shift + A, built a thoughtful system focused on empathy, accessibility, and clarity, transforming emotional overload into intentional, care-driven action.
As a designer on this team, I focused on simplifying interactions, creating visual hierarchies, and ensuring accessibility in an emotionally sensitive space.
